—Jorie Graham, Poetry, February 2008

Jorie Graham is the first American woman to win the UK’s Forward prize for best poetry collection, according to the Guardian. The BBC reports that the last woman to win was Kathleen Jamie (2004), who appears in this month’s centennial issue.
