Who are you, reader, reading my poems an hundred years hence?

The New York Times travels to Rabindranath Tagore’s Shantiniketan, or “Abode of Peace,” a refuge and school founded by the poet—it became a college in 1921. Today, 6,000 students attend.

Tagore became the first non-Westerner to win the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 and published a series of poems in Poetry’s June 1913 issue.
